Our field of focus has grown beyond that of a typical e-commerce entity as we explore the nexus of content, commerce, and culture.Currently serving 150 countries, generating an average of 88 million monthly page views, and achieving high double digit annual growth since inception, SSENSE is becoming a cultural protagonist in its own right.Job DescriptionReporting to the Senior Manager of Retail, the Senior Retail Training Specialist will be responsible for supporting the design and development of comprehensive learning programs of the retail department.

This includes but is not limited to coordinating all learning and development activities for technical skills development such as product knowledge, product fundamentals, sales, service, operations and soft skills development as required.

The ideal candidate will foster a positive work environment that embraces SSENSE purpose and principles in achieving the company’s objectives.ResponsibilitiesProgram Development 50%Contribute to the development of a retail training program and strategy, understanding its requirements and identifying trends and/or risksCollaborate with Retail leadership, HR Business Partners and Talent Management to proactively propose solutions and continuously improve the training guides and sessions for the retail teamAssess, design, and develop engaging and impactful training programs and materials surrounding onboarding and technical skills developmentDevelop change management plans to support the retail team in transitioning to new standardized processesPartner with the Retail leadership and HR team to monitor metrics and the effectiveness of learning and development initiativesEnsure retail learning and development documents and processes are up-to-date and maintained on an ongoing basisDevelop training programs and initiatives to build and develop best-in-class, client-centric teams.

Training 50%Lead new hire onboarding and provide continuous training to the Retail staff and managementLead technical and soft skill training for the Retail staff and managementExecute and maintain the retail learning and development programs as needed including, administration, reporting, translations, communications, etc.Support in creating learning and development plans for individual contribution roles, in collaboration with the Retail Leadership and HR Business PartnersSupport ad-hoc learning, training, and development projects as neededProvide timely coaching and feedback to retail staff on inplace processes and programs Keep up-to-date with best practices and current market trendsQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Industrial Relations, Business, Management, or a related field is preferredA minimum of 3 to 5 years leadership experience in high volume retail environmentProven experience establishing trusting relationships in an omni-channel environmentExcellent written and verbal communication skills in both French and EnglishProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, Web and computer-savvinessHours/days of work can vary due to the demands of the businessTravel may be required based on business needsSkillsOutstanding interpersonal skills with a natural ability to build relationshipsPassion for training and developing Professionalism, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively multi-task Facilitation skills, ability to deliver one on one and group training sessionsDiscretion handling confidential informationAbility to work in a fast-paced environment dealing with change and shifting requirementsHighly competent with technology and mobile applications
