KAM’S TIRE: Buyer – Retail/Wholesale


This is a Full-time position in Wellesley, ON posted November 13, 2020.

Principle Duties and ResponsibilitiesReview requirements of retail stores determine quantities and types of wheels and tires to purchase.Knowledge and understand of the procurement, inventory level, logistics, and acquisition costs.Communicate with current vendors to negotiate improved pricing, lead time, product quality, and delivery as required.Evaluate supplier quotations to obtain the best overall purchase on behalf the company, and issue Purchase orders and/or Change Orders.Maintain current supplier relationships and manufacture Volume Rebate Program.Research and analyze current market changes, availability to ensure stock and inventory requirements are achieved.Sourcing new suppliers by attending different sales promotion materials and trade shows, and visit product design events, factories new product line.Organizational and interpersonal skills are a must in order to be successful in this position.Expedite outstanding purchase orders for on-time delivery.Education and Experience RequirementsComplete Post-Secondary Education required (College Diploma or University Degree), preferably in Business Administration supply chain, purchasing, and Materials Management.A minimum of 1-year relevant working experience in purchasing and procurement.Computer literacy and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel and ERP program are essential.Experience with global activities, sourcing and operating within different cultures and styles.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and demonstrates the ability to work effectively in a team environment.Capacity to prioritize work, perform multiple tasks and work under tight time constraints.May will require international business travel to meet with suppliers.
