To learn more about CIBC, please visit CIBC.com Job Description What You’ll Be Doing As a Senior Analyst, Business Analytics you will provide consultative advice relative to the development, analysis and identification of process changes and improvements and system enhancements for Mutual Fund Distributor Operations and Proprietary Funds at CIBC that include Reniassance Mutual Funds, CIBC Mutual Funds and Personal Portfolio Services.

In this capacity you will regularly participate in the documentation of existing processes and system flows; recommend enhancements to processes, job functions and systems; evaluate options; communicate benefits; and assist with project delivery timelines.

During project deliveries (depending on the size) you will participate in a variety of capacities include project management, process automation, business analysis, documentation, development and testing.

How You’ll Succeed Process Improvement Mindset
– Identify, develop and implement routine operation process enhancements to increase the efficiency of the department.

Assess the impact, effectiveness and feasibility of proposed change decisions and present recommendations to Senior Management to provide a perspective on the impact of change on the business.

Project Delivery
– Gather, validate and document business requirements for assigned projects to ensure maximization of operational efficiency, data currency, integrity and consistency with organization’s strategic direction.

Provide operational support for projects after implementation including problem resolution and enhancement and recommendations to ensure ongoing success.

Internal and Regulatory Reporting
– Prepare and present reports to Management to keep them informed of status of projects, communicate upcoming changes and/or present recommendations.

Technical Skillset
– Ability to analyze and present data in a meaningful way.

Familiar with relational database concepts an asset.

Advanced knowledge of Excel (Macros), VBA, Visio, Word and PowerPoint is required.

Experience with Alteryx, Tableau, SQL, C and C++, C#, Java, Python and other data visualization tools an asset.

The ideal candidate will possess an undergraduate degree in Business or Computer Science.

Familiarity with Lean and Six Sigma methodologies for process engineering & optimization an asset.
