Senior Product Owner

Help drive product innovation at BlackBerry We are looking for an experienced Product Owner with significant technical and c yber s ecurity expertise to join our Product Owner team within the BlackBerry Enterprise Software organization.

The successful candidate will draw on extensive cyber security market knowledge as well as a deep technical understanding to drive feature delivery activities with BlackBerry software engineering teams.

Extensive experience as a product owner in cyber security or other related software security functions is required.

The role is based in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada.

Travel in support of vendor and customer engagements as required is expected.

Responsibilities The Product Owner takes market requirements and translates them into detailed technical user stories which the engineering teams can implement effectively.

Work with external and internal stakeholders to perform market analysis and customer needs analysis to ensure features being implemented have a world class user experience.

Definition and work prioritization with development scrum teams to ensure new features are delivered on time and in scope.

Collaborate and interface with product management and engineering teams across BlackBerry to ensure new features and products are aligned with company direction and are positioned to deliver significant customer value.

Essential Skills and Qualifications Degree in Computer Science, or equivalent technical degree or diploma program.

Deep understanding of current cybersecurity industry and solutions, including threat assessment, prevention and remediation.

Minimum 8 years of experience in a technical product owner role.

Ability to translate business objectives into technical product requirements and user stories for engineering teams.

Experience as a Product Owner in an Agile work environment.

Demonstrated team player and strong leadership skills.

Proven ability to juggle multiple activities simultaneously.

Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal / presentation) for a variety of audiences (technical and non-technical) including senior leadership (C-Level).

Comfortable engaging with marketing, product management, technical teams, and customer-facing activities.

Additional Assets Experience in the practical application of Machine Learning methodologies to solve complex problems is desirable and specifically someone with EDR / XDR experience.
