We make it easy for our clients to access the best software tools to help run their business so they can focus on the big picture.Now, we’re excited to hire more great people to help us change the world, and we’d love for you to be our new Proposal Writer.If you’ve got a couple years of experience in proposal writing/responding to bids and RFPs, we can’t wait to hear from you.Proposal Writer:In this role, you’ll take ownership of our bidding process, successfully managing and improving the entire RFP process.  You’ll manage each project, including writing and editing incredible proposals and bid responses that capture our offerings effectively, while meeting all deadlines, and collaborating with others in the organization.Practically speaking, you will: * Regularly monitor the online RFP bid sites to seek out new opportunities* Write and edit strong proposals that lead to approvals* Coordinate with internal stakeholders (e.g., sales, technical/product teams, etc.) and develop a proposal structure and content* Deliver completed written proposal responses before agreed upon deadlines* Continue to build and expand our content library for potential re-use of material in the future* Consistently write influential and persuasive pieces that accurately convey information about our products and services with a consistent tone* Conduct research as needed to gather key information* Lead the team through the completion of each RFP/bid project, coordinating responsibilities, creating project schedules, communicating openly, and ensuring all timelines and deliverables are metProposal writing isn’t a solitary process, which is why you’ll need to have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. The best in this role will be proactive communicators: people who aren’t afraid to track down the right answers and can pull in strengths from across the team.  You’re perfect for this role because you have strong organizational skills, enabling you to manage multiple projects, balance competing priorities, and remain attentive to all details. Aside from being an excellent persuasive writer, you’ll also need to be task-oriented, and highly deadline-driven, as you manage these projects and ensure deliverables are met on time.You’ll have the opportunity to continue to improve our brand, bring forward new ideas on how to best present our offerings, and enhance our RFP process. If this sounds like the opportunity for you, we want to hear from you!The Details:This is a full-time, permanent position, offering $60,000 to $70,000 per year depending on your experience, and includes health benefits, paid vacation time, variable bonus, and other fun perks.You’ll have flexibility to work core business hours from Monday to Friday, however, will need to be flexible to meet business demands, and able to work irregular hours as needed. Our office is located in Toronto, and is accessible by both public transit and by car. Currently, our team is working remotely, and you will too. Upon a safe return to work you’ll have continued flexibility to work remotely but will be expected to come to the office for a couple of days during the week.Qualifications:* Relevant experience in proposal writing, including strong knowledge of document production, RFP creation, and navigating the process to respond to bids/RFPs* Experience writing and editing responses for proposals and bids in a complex business environment* Experience coordinating project deliverables while adhering to deadlines and leading a small team* Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)* Experience creating proposals for customers in the public or non-profit sector* Experience creating proposals/bids for technology solutions (an asset)* Post-secondary degree/diploma in policy, communications, English, literature, business administration, or similar (an asset) * Certified to APMP Foundation or Practitioner level (an asset)How to Apply:Our online application will give you the option to apply to this role as a complete person – not just a resume.
