Aecon is currently seeking a Planning Coordinator based out of the Toronto Head Office.

Under the supervision and guidance of a Planning Manager, the Planning Coordinator will be responsible for the schedule intergration function across mulitple projects.

The successful candidate will have experience collecting information from all necessary stakeholders in preparation of schedule integration.

They will participate and facitiliate group meetings with IDD, Cost Controls and Estimators.

Key Responsibilities Study project constructability and contribute to the development of working schedules for estimating, prior to proposal date, which sufficiently illustrate the sequence of work activities and contract time.

To collaborate with IDD, BIM leads, cost controls, Planners and estimators to ensure alignment and quality of 3D models, budget and P6 schedules.

Work with the Planning Manager to outline the future development and expansion of the use of integrated schedules.

Develop documentation required to support the implementation and progression of 4D Planning during bid and execution stage Managing the system integration, creation, maintenance and delivery of the large scale construction sequence 4D model.

Support site planners to apply 4D planning processes Develop integrated schedules using Primavera P6 for various projects & their different stages as appropriate (Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Pre-Commissioning, Commissioning) Interface the schedule with the project budget and resource load it with labor and material resources based on the project approved budget hours and quantity Develop integrated schedule reports and dashboards using 5D capabilities.

Required Knowledge and Experience 3-5 years’ experience in project planning/scheduling in the construction industry with cost/estimate exposure.

Post-secondary education
– Bachelor of Science (Engineering discipline) or C.E.T.

would be considered an asset.

Full proficiency in computer scheduling programs (i.e.

Primavera P6, Microsoft Project) Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel) HD, Navisworks/ Synchro, Power BI skills would be considered an asset.

Organizational skills to handle multiple tasks within a high-pressure work site environment.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral).

Ability to work effectively with all levels of management and employees.

Willingness for continuous learning and advancement of technical knowledge.

Detail oriented.

Must be able to travel to projects.

Must possess valid G driver’s license and have access to a vehicle.
