Member Program and Engagement Coordinator

Representing more than 5,200 members made up of family physicians, family medicine residents, and medical students, we exist to support family physicians in Alberta through continuing professional development, advocacy, leadership, and research. Currently, we are in search of a Member Program and Engagement Coordinator – someone who will love to transform ideas into reality to support our various programs. Member Program and Engagement Coordinator:In this role, your primary function will be to support, plan, implement, and deliver new and existing member programs/services, centered primarily around continuing professional development (CPD) and member engagement activities.Working with a variety of internal teams, your support will be critical in ensuring members are informed, engaged, and consistently getting value from our programs and services.  Practically speaking, you will: * Develop and coordinate programs, services, activities, and member engagement strategies that meet the needs of our members through varying stages of their professional journey* Identify gaps in existing programming and member services and create new program support/strategies to enhance membership value * Support and liaise with committees and/or other external partners* Maintain and promote online communities of practice for ACFP members and health care professionals* Optimize technology, social media, event planning, and event marketing platforms to engage and communicate with members, and market programs and events * Develop background information/updates for ACFP’s Board and Executive team * Leverage the ACFP’s role as the College of Family Physicians of Canada’s provincial chapter and its commitment to certify CPD programs under the Maintenance of Proficiency (Mainpro+) certification program for family physicians in AlbertaYour willingness to jump right in, dig into the details, and help us execute these member programs will lead to success in this position and your future with the ACFP. You’ll enjoy the opportunity to work in an organization making a meaningful contribution to the health of families in Alberta. Working at the Alberta College of Family Physicians (ACFP):This is a full-time permanent position, working from Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, with some flexibility available. Our team is working remotely right now, so you’ll need to be comfortable working from home too. You’ll earn $50,000-55,000 per year, commensurate with experience. You’ll also have access to our outstanding health benefits after 3 months, 3.5% RSP matching after 1 year, and 3 weeks’ vacation. Working with ACFP, you’ll enjoy a fast-paced and collegial work environment, with a small, close-knit team. We empower our staff to try different things, and to enjoy flexibility in their roles by taking on projects and tasks they’ve never had a chance to do before. There is ample opportunity here to grow, as long as you’re willing to roll up your sleeves with us! Qualifications:Here’s what we’re looking for:  * Experience in either a program coordination/management role, project management role, or member program engagement role, managing multiple projects/deadlines simultaneously* Experience using social media, event management, and email marketing for event/program planning and communications * Experience in building communities of practice or maintaining or developing membership engagement programs * Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite programs (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)And here’s what would be a plus: * Experience in a not-for-profit environment or a membership-based association, or health care environment, or working with Boards and Committees* Experience with any online learning technologies/platforms or website updating using a CMS (e.g., WordPress)* Experience in graphic design, and/or video creation/editing* Experience with planning, coordinating, and managing events and/or conferences (small, medium, and large) * Post-secondary education, preferably in event management, education, communications, project management, marketing, or business administrationHow to Apply:Our online application will give you the option to apply to this role as a complete person – not just a resume.
