Senior Computer Vision and Machine Learning Platform THE ROLE: AMD Advanced Technology Group is an entrepreneurial research and development team to build AMD’s future advanced platforms & products.

Our teams work closely with outside customers and internal teams to develop hardware, software, and systems solutions into next generation computing platforms.

As part of AMD Advanced Technology Group, you will have the opportunity develop a winning team that will collaborate with internal teams & customers, explore new platform technologies, and lead the development of best-in-class hardware, software, and systems technologies that our customers will use for real-world problems.

The person: ATG Team is looking for computer vision engineer to develop our long-term platform vision, which will have significant impact for AMD, and the future of our products.

In this role, you will lead the definition of forward-looking projects and novel system concepts to significantly impact AMD’s future product portfolio.

Key responsibilities: In this role you will participate in developing end-to-end machine learning-based solutions for camera and computer vision applications running on AMD Edge platforms Work with engineering teams cross technical functions, geographical regions and time zones, involving various facets of computer vision machine learning product Work closely with HW and SW teams and get your hands on a broad range of activities from solution design, software development, to optimization and deployment for Edge platforms Work closely with architecture teams to provide timely feedback and direction on various architectural design decisions Measure, analyze, and optimize power and performance for both application and system software/hardware stack Determine and implement unit testing and system level testing strategies Preferred experience: Experience with end-to-end software application development flow
– from design to development to integration and testing Experience in developing computer vision algorithms using OpenCV and/or Deep Learning approaches Experience with system software (driver/OS level) on Android/Linux/Windows environment Experience of profiling and optimization techniques for software and system stacks Proven debugging and analysis skills, for root causing complex issues at both application and system level Experience with GPGPU compute like OpenCL, DirectX Compute Experience with camera architecture, camera APIs and other camera algorithms Experience in development of any of the deep learning compiler frameworks like TVM, Glow or XLA; or other LLVM-based compilers Minimum Requirements: Experience with software engineering and C, C++ programming Experience with Machine Learning/Deep Learning frameworks like Tensorflow, Pytorch Good understanding of deep learning concepts like CNN, RNN/LSTMs Strong background in computer vision, computer system architecture, and algorithm design Effective communication skills, strong teamwork to join a global organization working cross geographical regions and time zones Academic credentials: BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or Applied Math Location: Markham, Ontario, Canada LI-MK2 Requisition Number: 92670 Country: Canada Province: Ontario City: Markham Job Function:Design AMD is an inclusive employer dedicated to building a diverse workforce.
