This is a Full-time position in West Lincoln, ON posted November 22, 2020.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Greet customers with a welcoming acknowledgement Maintain regular contact with existing customer base.

Be on a constant lookout for new product opportunities Ongoing review of new Inventory SKU’s including additions and deletions.

Review new lines of product.

Order Inventory on a regular basis (weekly) Maintain adequate shelf stock regularly Merchandize Plumbing & Electrical retail area Create end caps and rotate stock regularly Attend training seminars and Home Hardware semiannual Markets Source special orders and requests from customers Access returns and customers concerns Assist customers with advice Answer phones and relay messages as necessary Project a “helpful” image to customers Treat customers as you would like to be treated Receive products into computer system, assist with pricing and store set up Maintain ongoing merchandise of store products Restock and maintain clean retail areas as required Be able to work in a fast paced and constantly changing retail environment.

Ability to train and motivate other staff as needed.

Work two scheduled Saturdays per month as well as evenings.

Have experience in plumbing & electrical requirements/trends and advise customers in regards to plumbing & electrical products.

Motivated, self-disciplined individual with a strong work ethic.

Ability to listen and understand customer needs.

Enjoy working in a team environment.

Show leadership in Sales Targets, Inventory Control and Customer Service.MANAGEMENT Provide leadership and expertise in all aspects of Plumbing, Electrical & HVAC Provide staff with direction and leadership in all areas of department Provide direction and daily task assignments to staff working out of service desk Maintain product quality & organization Achieve monthly and yearly Sales Budgets Execute end cap and merchandising strategy Review slow moving inventory on a regular monthly basis Review new products, industry trends and make recommendations on areas to expand Attend seminars, tradeshows and other store visits Organize customer seminars or related events Assist when required for store events and participate on store committees Attend monthly managers meetings Experience, knowledge & expertise in plumbing, electrical & HVAC required.

Building and renovation knowledge an asset.
