As a key member of our development team, you will:Design and architect new Dejero products and featuresDeliver best-in-class solutions to difficult problems, enabling the company to deliver new technologies and/or enter new marketsBe a subject matter expert across a range of Dejero productsBe an organization-wide technical leader, modeling creativity, aptitude, and innovationBuild enthusiasm and momentum toward longer-term goalsContribute to industry knowledge through working groups, standards committees, regulatory bodies, and/or open-source projects Contribute to the longer-term Dejero technology roadmaps and resource planningMentor technical leaders on the team and across the organization Act as a technical lead on larger cross-functional projects as requiredChampion and help define development processes and standardsGuide teams to solve challenging technical problems with increasing levels of uncertainty, where the problem space may not be well-definedDevelop new-to-world ideas and solutionsGenerate new intellectual property for DejeroAnticipate risks and pain points of technical decisionsBe a broad technology subject matter expert who can quickly learn and grasp new areas of technologyRequirements10+ years of software development industry experienceNetworking technologies and protocols including TCP, UDP, IP, and Ethernet framesCongestion control algorithms, including standard TCP and common application-layer UDP implementationsSoftware development in C++ (C++17 and boost), Python, and Go (golang)Object-oriented design and implementationStandard software development methodologiesBe passionate about designing and developing high quality, robust productsStrong verbal and written communication skills – able to summarize and explain complex issues and technical problems effectively and efficientlySelf-motivated, collaborative team player who gets things doneBonus Points For Any Of The Additional ExperienceDevelopment of highly scalable, multi-threaded and asynchronous network socket applications on LinuxUsing tcpdump and Wireshark to analyze and debug network application/protocol behaviour Linux iptables, routing, bridging, tun/tap devicesThe user-space APIs and settings exposed by Linux kernel (especially the networking portions)Wireless broadband (EVDO, HSPA, LTE) modem APIs on Linux (AT commands, libqmi, MBIM, etc.)Video transmission protocols and standards (SMPTE 2022, RTP, HLS, etc.)EducationMinimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Math, or a related fieldWe thank all applicants for their interest; only those candidates selected for an interview will be contacted.
