Administrative Support IV – Transplant Services

Your Opportunity: Reporting to the Director, the incumbent will provide administrative/clerical support for Transplant Quality Improvement.

The successful candidate will be responsible for data entry, retrieval, analysis and reporting to support quality work within the program.

Information is garnered from a variety of sources within the province and from other provinces.

Data is entered into a variety of databases and registries.

Platforms primarily include EPIC, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Access and Oracle.

Description: As an Administrative Support IV, you will require advanced administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex procedures, practices and initiatives within a department or program.

Classification: Administrative Support IV Union: AUPE GSS Department: Transplant Coordination Primary Location: U of A Hospital Multi-Site: Not Applicable FTE: 1.00 Posting End Date: 25-JAN-2021 Employee Class: Regular Full Time Date Available: 15-FEB-2021 Hours per Shift: 7.75 Length of Shift in weeks: 2 Shifts per cycle: 10 Shift Pattern: Days Days Off: Saturday/Sunday Minimum Salary: $25.24 Maximum Salary: $30.68 Vehicle Requirement: Not Applicable Required Qualifications: Completion of post-secondary education (e.g.

course(s) in business administration, medical office assistant), or other related fields.

Additional Required Qualifications: Completion of Grade 12 supplemented with a post secondary Medical Clerical/Secretarial/Administrative diploma or degree.

Medical terminology is required.

Must have working knowledge of computer reporting tools and office equipment.

Must possess excellent written/oral communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications: Must be able to work in a strong vibrant team setting as a team player.

Ability to work independently, prioritize workload, and recognize and maintain confidential information.

Requires a high level of organization, accuracy and competence with computerized processes and the ability/desire to master new applications is required.

Previous Transplant experience preferred.
