Tax Officer


This is a Contract position in Toronto, ON posted October 31, 2020.

We are currently looking for a Tax Officer to support our client, a leading Canadian bank, in their Downtown Toronto office (working remotely until further notice).

In this role you will work full time hours on a 5 month assignment, and earn a pay rate of $20.50 per hour.

As a Tax Officer, your main responsibility will be to assist in both Mutual Fund and Brokerage Plan Tax Reporting with CRA and RQ.

Daily responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:
• Confirming transaction details using various methods of confirmation including phone, fax, swift and email
• Producing tax reporting files; edit and manipulate data and import into the system
• Other ad hoc duties as necessary Advantages

• Earn $20.50 per hour Qualifications
• 2 years of previous Canadian tax experience is preferred
• Strong Excel (V-look ups, Pivot tables, Mail merge); Manipulate data & import into the system
– at test will be given during the interview
• Accounting background or post secondary education in Accounting or Finance
• Able to work overtime during peak periods
• CSC and/or IFIC courses completed, or experience with Mutual Funds
