The Senior Accounting Clerk is responsible for providing mortgage processing and administrative support within the Central Mortgage Unit, and ensures daily and periodic administrative functions are completed in a timely and accurate manner while providing customer service in adherence with the One Team One Goal values.

Accountabilities1.

Provide processing support by: a.

Accurately processing daily assigned functions which may include product setup, instructing solicitors, reviewing security documentation, processing amendments, preparing discharge documents, paying property tax bills, completing internal and external mail sorting and distribution, and completing mortgage exception processing requests b.

Maintaining a thorough knowledge of the systems, mortgage products, policies, procedures and processes c.

Reviewing incoming requests from supported units, or solicitors/notaries to ensure accuracy and adherence to policy and procedure d.

Accurately updating information and data on various systems, applications and databases e.

Preparing and or verifying the accuracy of entries/transactions or documentation within defined authorities f.

Ensuring the identification and correction of errors and policy non-compliance g.

Conducting investigations to resolve exception situations or completing complex adjustment or correction transactions h.

Preparing and responding to supported units or solicitor or notary correspondence and requests i.

Preparing and/or checking reports or returns as assigned j.

Supporting the implementation of required changes (e.G.

policy, process, systems) k.

Assisting with the training and cross-training of team members l.

Perform related sundry duties as assigned2.

Ensure customer service is consistent with One Team One Goal values by: a.

Processing work within the published Service Level Agreements b.

Processing work with a high degree of accuracy c.

Taking full responsibility for assigned inquiries d.

Providing assistance as required with investigating and resolving complaints e.

Following up on outstanding or unresolved issues as assigned f.

Being courteous, professional and responsive in all interactions g.

Maintaining the confidentiality of customer information3.

Adhering to established Bank regulations and procedures within assigned authority and responsibility a.

Reporting any unusual occurrences or fraudulent activity to the supervisor.

Escalating any problems or issues to the supervisor with recommendations where appropriate c.

Completing all required training & complying with requirements (e.G.

Anti Money Laundering, Guidelines for Business Conduct) Qualifications High School diploma and a minimum of 1 year of office work related experience Basic Computer Skills, including common software tools (Microsoft Office products) Location(s): Canada : Ontario : Stratford As Canada’s International Bank, we are a diverse and global team.
